Quick Workshop Descriptions:

“No More Drama”- This is a great workshop to combat destructive issues with your staff such as: gossiping, back stabbing,
fighting, disrespectful to management members, and more! This workshop discusses the behaviors and personalities of those
who commonly cause and keep “drama” going, and explores how they do damage to the team and to the school. It allows for
past issues to be addressed so that the team can move forward; facilitates professionalism and leadership and brings some
resolve to the negative behaviors.

“Preparing for the Scales”- An in-depth look at the components of Environmental Rating Scales, specifically ITERS-R & ECERS-
R to help your team better understand what is being looked at for assessment and what they can do to bring permanent and
lasting quality to their classrooms. We strongly recommend pairing this workshop with PDS Mock Assessments to help your staff
know exactly where they stand and have a detailed plan on what to work on. The absolute involvement of each staff member is
crucial to being successful.

“Complete Licensing & Sanitation”- A fun way for your team to review the Childcare Regulations and Sanitation Rules! Teams
compete against each other to see who knows their rules & regulations, and learn in a fun, competitive format. This workshop is
perfect to serve in place of one month’s staff meeting or as the perfect ending to a “Super Saturday” or Professional Development
Day.

“Health & Sanitation: Rules & Regulations”- An actual hands-on demonstration and training going through the steps of the
diaper change procedures, hand washing rules, toilet and changing table cleaning/disinfecting procedures, sink disinfecting, and
other commonly missed indicators in the Environmental Rating Scales and typical sanitation violations. 85% of our workforce do
not know the proper sanitation procedures!

“Discipline… What is OK? What Isn’t? What Works!”- Very important for “old school staff” and those who need help with using
more positive discipline methods, and adding more compassion and control to the classroom environment. Excellent for all
teachers!

“Infant, Child, & Adult CPR and Basic First Aid”- As a certified ASHI Training Center, we provide CPR & First aid specialized to
the Early Childhood Education and Childcare Field. Thorough, fun, and easy to remember! You’ll never use another CPR
company again.

“New Hire Orientation”- This is an ideal training session if you have 5+ new hires or if you plan to share this training session
with other schools. Covers 8.0 hours of the mandatory 16.0 hours:
•        Recognizing Abuse & Neglect
•        Proper Sanitation Procedures
•        Overview of DCD Regulations
•        Overview of the Star Rated License
•        Overview of the Environmental Rating Scales
•        Intro to Positive Behavior Guidance

“Playground Safety & Supervision”- The state mandated Playground Safety & Supervision course.

“Mission: Teamwork”- Motivating your team towards greater cohesiveness and cooperation is every Director’s goal. This
workshop helps the members of your team focus on working together to meet the center’s goals.

“Effective Parent Relations”- Strong, open, honest, and appropriate communication between your parents and teachers is vital
to the success of your program. This workshop covers what forms of communication are needed, body language, what is & is not
appropriate, and other tips to build appropriate relationships between parents & teachers.

“You Got Your Stars…Now What?”- After successfully going through the Environmental Rating Scales and all that goes into that
preparation, many teams feel like they have nothing to work towards after it’s over; they loose focus and can get a little too
comfortable. Unfortunately, many programs undo all the good they have done within 6 months after scales. This workshop is
geared to keep that focus and instill systems to maintain being “Scale Ready Everyday”.

“Classroom Management”- This workshop is fantastic for your preschool teachers (perfect for classroom teachers with children
3& up; 2 year old teachers can benefit too) and floaters in learning how to effectively use common Classroom Management
Techniques in their classrooms to have calmer, happier, smooth flowing and functioning classrooms that facilitate growth in a
stimulating environment.
